OBJECTIVE

We set out to place Miraa May at the forefront of the UK music scene. Launching the first track from her new album, Miraa May wanted polished, glossy visuals, reflecting the professional refinement of her career

So as to connect audiences in a personable, yet dreamlike manner, I chose to use part documentary, part promo to tell Miraa May’s musical story. Basing the narrative on female friendship and the ultimate girls' staycation, we contemporised timeless scenes of sisterhood (pool parties, pillow fights, late-night dancing) and sent out the encouraging message to surround yourself with women who love and support you.

I chose to use both handheld film, and steadicam so as to juxtapose intimate nostalgia with clean, elegant shots. The result is a display of sisterhood shining through with a luxurious sense of playful femininity.
